Cloned – New Website Build
This is an example of copying a website and migrating the copy to a different server using a different domain name.
This site is for Home Building Centre – Salmon Arm. The same franchise as the one in Vernon BC. Originally, Salmon Arm Store only had a “coming soon” page for quite a long time. After the Vernon website was finished, it was cloned and the copy installed into its own domain and hosting for the Salmon Arm store. It is a separate website from Vernon.
Summary of Our Work:
- Salmon Arm store website is a clone of the Vernon store website
- Separate unique header image created by Form Web Design & incorporated with the store logo
- Same content with some differences that pertain to this Salmon Arm store
- Manual changes to coding were needed to allow images to show, since the domain name was different
- Content changed regularly for fliers and other events.
- Some new content images were created by Form Web Design.
The website owner chose to maintain the website while adding and changing content themselves.
